System Maintenance

On October 21, the Library's Libby (OverDrive) and Kanopy services will undergo an update to how user accounts are verified. When this work is completed, all users will be logged out of their accounts and will need to log back in with their Library card barcode number and 4-digit PIN.


If you currently use Libby (OverDrive):

  • You will will receive a prompt to re-enter your Library card number and PIN to log into your app.


If you currently use Kanopy:

  • You will need to log into your account at www.kanopy.com from a web browser to add your Library card and PIN.
    • Click your profile name
    • Choose My Account
    • Choose the My Libraries tab
    • Click the ... (three dots) menu to edit
    • Add your Library card number and PIN in the appropriate fields
    • Save

  • If you can't access a web browser, you will receive a prompt after October 21st to verify your account and add a PIN in your mobile app.
    • Tap the More menu at the bottom right of the mobile app screen
    • Tap Memberships
    • Find the Library name
    • Look for the "action required" prompt
    • Verify your Library card number and enter your PIN

  • You cannot verify your PIN from an app channel on your Smart TV.

Please be sure you have your Library card number and PIN available to log back into your account before October 21. If we have your email listed in your Library borrower account, you can visit the My Account link on our webpage and use the "Forgot my PIN" feature to reset your 4-digit PIN, or you can contact us in person or by phone at (812) 275-4471 for assistance with recovering your information.
